KAREN DUNAI practiced as a solo practitioner for the last several years and successfully handled cases related to business formation, non-profit, contracts, personal injury, worker's compensation, and immigration, including the successful defense of a federal customs fraud case. Karen graduated summa cum laude from USC with a degree in business administration and earned a certificate in real estate development from the USC Business School. Karen graduated 5th in her class from the William S. Richardson School of Law. Before law school, Karen was a firefighter for the Kauai Fire Department, owned a successful flooring business, and worked as a cowboy.



DOMINIQUE TANSLEY has eight years of experience in civil litigation as an attorney and paralegal. She was in-house counsel for a real estate development and finance company for 3 years. Before law school, she was a litigation paralegal for 7 years in the areas of insurance defense and family law. During law school, she and her husband owned and operated a small media distribution business. After law school, she was in-house counsel for the project developer and manager of the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center, handling legal and business matters related to owner Kamehameha Schools/Bishop Estate's $115 million renovation of the shopping center. Dominique transitioned into private practice working for a small law firm practicing insurance defense with an emphasis on construction defects and real estate disputes.
